Getting Back My Mojo

The second last chemo was not as bad as the others so far but I find that I cannot get back my mojo. I sleep most of the time and every so often when I get up to wash the floor or put away a book, I cannot even must the thought of reading a book or doing anything brainy like I usually do.  My creative juices are mere pictures on the wall. I look at the piano but cannot make it through one piece. I want to try out my  new guitar but find myself only opening and closing the box. I need to learn how to do things by making myself do things. Just thinking I'll do it or making a to do list does not work.

Better For Now

The PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) worked out well and I cannot believe that I am now glad I went through with it. So much apprehension. Chemo went well and I am on a high for now. I will crash in 24. Might as well enjoy the time. Start as many bucket list projects as possible and go for the finish line.

PICC

A PICC was inserted in my right arm today. This will make chemo easier. It is a bit difficult getting used to this morning but that should improve over the day. I hope. It only took an hour and today I put hot towel on it 4 times.

Blood tests tomorrow and a new oncologist looking after me. I wonder what he will be like? Second last chemo is on Thursday. Closer and closer.

My questions for tomorrow:

1. What are the odds of this cancer coming back soon?
2. What are the follow-up appointments after chemo beside the visit to the surgeon?

Radiation Information Today

This morning I had an appointment to find out about radiation treatments that will follow my chemo. I have an aggressive cancer that is currently being treated with chemo and then finally with radiation. I am very scared of the radiation. I had a melt down today.

It is 30 days, every day, of radiation. I don't know how I am going to handle this but right now, psychologically, it is interfering with my plan to write while I am taking these treatments. I had to sleep all afternoon today.

As well, my doctor called to tell me I am low on potassium so I bought some bananas today. I now hate bananas. I tried to eat one and I gagged. Perhaps pistachios will be better. I'll try milk, orange juice, pistachios, and bananas to get the potassium level up. It is very important to do this.

God help me. Pray for me if you read my blog.

Stable for Now

The steroids needed to stabilize my allergic reaction to chemo have really helped. I ended the prescription on Friday and have now had two days of nothing. I feel good.
This week I start the second round and I admit that I am scared. Fortunately, I have two projects that keep me going, one being the reorganizing of my office space and the other being the follow through of the big writing projects I have delayed for years. I will use this time to make this happen.

On the diet front, I've had a liquid day; only taking orange juice, milk, water, and two Ensures. I hope to have lost a pound by tomorrow. I'll eat normally tomorrow. Along with the diet, I have walked for one hour each day for the past 5 days. It was actually hard to do. I hope that in two weeks it will get easier.

Round Two

Well, we had to delay round two. Seems that I continue to have an allergic reaction to chemo. At the end of the 15 days my skin began to welt up into red bumps. I sneezed and couldn't eat from the heavy nausea.
The doctor stopped it all and rescheduled for another 15 days later. This would be to clear my system of the first treatment and to do tests. I have a MGA test to see it my heart can tolerate the alternative treatment.
My allergic reaction was getting worse. I wrote a letter to the doctor in follow up to my visit in order to describe the antihistamine and dosage that I was taking to help my through the allergic reaction. The nurse phoned me back and the doctor ordered a steroid that  I took immediately. This is really helping. Within about 3 hours I noticed a difference. I get one week off drugs before beginning round two.

Fifteen Days of Hell

Chemo was 15 full days of hell. It began with the feeling that a hot iron was going over my feet again and again. Constant diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, disorientation, pain in all parts of the body and worse than all, weakness. This is probably why I have heard some people say they cannot go through this again.

Anyway, I now know what to expect on round two. I have four days of "normal" and then I hold onto the handrail until the second 15 are lived through.

Worst 3 Days, Ever!

Okay. It is now a couple of weeks since the chemo and for the past three days I thought I would die. I cannot seem to eat. It is now the 3rd day and I'm sort of returning to being able to think.

What is this terrible thing? I know why Steve Jobs decided to take a leave. I can see why. I can feel why. He must have felt like me. This is excruciating pain and disorientation. I can only stay away for about 1 hour each day. Thought I might check myself into the hospital today.

Will check in tomorrow.

Chemo After Effects. . . Agh!

Going to the oncology department of the hospital and receiving my chemo over 4 and a half hours was like a spa experience. Sure, there were some needles but a spa experience also involves some poking and lying around waiting for the treatments to take affect. Following the treatment I returned home thinking, "Not so bad." I was not tired and I did not appear to be suffering from any heat or rash.
I actually went to a three hour meeting that afternoon and my energy remained high. Next day, I felt about the same. It was the afternoon and then the evening of the third day when it all kicked in. I was so sick, I did not know if I could live through this. I used the pills that I was given and was very thankful to have them. That did not help the achy legs however and . . . what achy legs there were. For the next 3 days I could not sleep except for a very short time. It hurt so bad in my feet that I could barely tolerate it without crying. I had brain fog. My body rejected it all. I took extra strength Tylenol and it actually made me nauseous. Finally, in the morning on the third day, I went to the store and got some regular strength Tylenol. It was really too late because I was starting to get better, but it did improve the situation more quickly than not having the pills.
That's my first treatment. I have three months of treatments to go. Check back.

Beginning Vegan

I decided to get rid of my high blood pressure that came along with the cancer. I am going vegan. I tried it now for three days and it really feels good. I see a write ring around my iris and it shows that I have high cholesterol. Somehow, I think eating beans, mushrooms, and salad will work for me. I will supplement this with pastas, radishes, carrots, and rye bread. These foods appeal to me and I was able to actually lose 2 pounds in the three days.

I am really scared today. I'm not depressed but I keep crying for no reason. There are pressing work issues that I cannot seem to get done. There are only two but I am completely frozen.

Tomorrow I get a bone scan, blood test, and begin the drugs before chemo. In the afternoon I will be working. I keep working throughout this.

Four Days to Chemo

I know what to expect and I know all the rules. Still, this does not help me to release the tension I feel. I bought a wig the other day to deal with the hair loss but I'm almost thinking that just being hairless will be better. My eyebrows and my eyelashes, not to mention other hair, will be gone temporarily as well. I wonder what I will feel like and I wonder what I will look like. It is truly scary.

Last week I stopped taking photos of the surgery. It's all healing now and doesn't seem to look so odd. This next 4 days is going to be very busy...beyond the four days and into the next 15 days will be busy, too. I hope I can sustain enough energy to handle it all.

God, help me.

Good Luck, Again!

The CT scan and the test for lymph cancer were negative. This was amazing news. Incredibly, my own doctor called to tell me the good news. Now I wait for the chemo treatment news.

A New Dream Arises

It is now 20 days since the cancer operation. I am finally starting to heal. I can feel it. I can see it. I am returning to health.
From this new state of health, I raise my glass to the world and toast to renewed vigor in my plans. I will dream a new life over the next 5 days then make plans to be in the dream.

Today . . . Still No News

I had my follow-up appointment today. This, I thought, was supposed to be the day I found out if chemo was necessary. Well, no. I will not find out until August 17th. That's over a month from now. It is not ruled out.

Funny thing . . . not funny, just weird . . . the doctor was shocked by all the bruising I had. I mean, you could really tell that she was distressed. I told her that I was taking photos of this each day and that the bruising only occurred in the past 24 hours. Still, you could see that she was really alarmed.

She asked, "Do you bruise easily?" I know it is not that. I think it is the aspirin and fish oil that I took since my blood pressure continues to be very high. Maybe I'll just lay off those for a couple of days. No sense thinning my blood if I'm going to have a huge black bruise.

So, today I got my wish which was to not start chemo, if I had to at all, until the middle of August. My wish is to be healthy, wealthy, and wise. Must buy a lotto ticket with this luck.

Soon 15 Days will be the verdict

Yes, in two more days I will know if there are further treatments. I have two days to think as I am in this moment without the good or bad news. I think I prefer that. From the day of the verdict I will commence a water fast of 5 days. I think I can control myself that long.

Ten Days After Surgery

The remaining bandages began to peel off. They came off in the shower. It was interesting to see how big and long the stitches are. There are two rows. Everything is black and blue. The skin is sticky from the bandages but I did not use Googone this time. I just placed a piece of Kleenex over the spot. Nothing hurts a lot but you know that it isn't right. Getting better every day in every way.

Still depressed beyond measure at times. I cannot believe how deep this depression goes. Moreover my best friends have moved away to another city and I miss them, too. The combination has not been great. I don't want to follow my friends just to keep everything as it was. That does not work. Time for change but it must be smart change.

There is no point in leaving what I do or in leaving my house until I know that I can live comfortably.
I am thinking of a way to add to my income.  It must be something that will bring in a lot of money quickly and then steadily. I need that. I wonder what it will be. I will give myself all day tomorrow to decide. Making plans.

Day 5 after Breast Surgery

The bandages are off and now I see that the damage to my breast is negligible. It was WONDERFUL to wash my hair. The sticky glue from the special bandages is awful. I actually used Googone to take it off.
Trouble now is that the breast that had surgery is better looking than the one that didn't have surgery. Might I consider going under the knife again for a breast lift? I'll wait. . . no one is looking now, but me.

I now await the prognosis on continued surgery or chemo. This will be interesting. I will know in 14 days when the results of the tests are done.

I cannot believe how emotionally wrecked I am. Who knew that this would cause so much crying?

I must keep track of my blood pressure.

Bandages Off Tomorrow

The blood pressure problem has been very discouraging. It is still in the mild to dangerous zone. I've signed up for daily readings and I intend on taking the list to my doctor. I will go on medication of some kind if it helps. High blood pressure may be a silent disease but when you're listening, it has a silent roar.  I don't feel normal.
Tomorrow the bandages come off. I'll be interested to see how bad the damage is from surgery.
Until tomorrow. Good night and good luck.

Surgery Day

Surgery day was very scary. I knew what to expect but I did not know how I would feel and how it would turn out. I am tired from the stress of waiting for a whole month. My bandages are so thick and sticky. I cannot remove them for four days. I will see the change to my body then.
My arm swings now and I am grateful to know that I can move. My throat hurts more than anything. I cannot believe how hard it was on my throat.
The anesthesiologist told me that my blood pressure was too high. He said I should be on drugs to lower it. I took out a card today at Safeway and I'm going to check my bloodpressure for a month, then take the readout to my GP. I'll see if I need drugs. Hope not. They're expensive. They did not release me for a long time after the surgery because my blood pressure would not come down.
Even today, when I checked it myself, it was abnormally high. I took a half aspirin and CoQ10. I feel better now.
I walk every day. Maybe I need to do a bit more than I'm doing.

Am I Cured?

I've got less than 22 days before surgery for cancer. I have tried fasting, baking soda, and dequalinium chloride. Some how, I believe that the dequalinium chloride actually cured my cancer. I think it happened in about 7 days. I just feel different since finishing this 7 day routine. I feel well. I feel better. I feel that what has happened has been changed, killed, or adjusted. Something is very different in my body and now I think I have taken this change to another level. I look in the mirror and see that the lump has gone away.
I will not know for sure until the surgery but I had to do this since I had to try to change my condition.

Naturopath to the Rescue?

There are a thousand things going through my mind. At the same time, I've finally started to listen to my body. That hasn't happened for years.
Today, I went on a chocolate milk diet. My body told me that it would help cure my breast cancer tumours. Do I really think it will work? My head says, "no"; my body says "this is right". I will listen to the body. It has been telling me to stretch my arms over my head daily and it has instructed me to buy a new pillow to sleep on my side. This already has helped a great deal. Keep talking, body. I need help.

Cancer Diagnosis: Now What?

I received a diagnosis of cancer and next month I am going for surgery. Now what?
I would like to cure this in one month. I can cure this myself in one month. There is the antibody change that needs to take place. I have decided to go on a water fast with mild exercising of stretches and walking. Most importantly, I am going to use meditation to cure this. I want to go to surgery day and have the doctor say miraculously, "It is gone! What did you do? Wish it away?" I will respond, "Yes".

Law of Attraction Depends on Something

An old joke: Moisha asks God again and again to let him win the lottery. Year after year Moisha prays earnestly for this fully believing that it will happen. One day Moisha passes away and arrives at the pearly gates. There he is able to ask God about the matter that he has prayed so many years to receive.

He says, "Why, God? I prayed every day. I believed that it would happen. Now I am here and there is no longer a chance to win. What did I do wrong?"

God replied, "Moisha, you had to meet me half way. You could have bought at least one ticket!"

I have spent my life praying and wishing for many good things to happen. When bad things happen or even neutral things, I just chalk it up to fate. Or, I start another project and give up on the dream. Instead, the secret is to take some action, knowing that my dream goal will happen. I must take some action in that direction. Like Moisha, buy a ticket, talk positive, make a change in the road, move in the direction of my dreams.  Do something each day.

The message to myself today is do something to make my dream happen. Be positive. Attract abundance.

A Saint Patty's Day Wish

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It was a very green day at work. We all shared a wonderful pot-luck. I hope you took some time to share food and wishes today, too. Fondly I remember these times as the years go by.

You are Going to be VERY Lucky Today!

You are going to be very lucky today. You have started out slowly, thinking carefully about the world around you and determined to stop procrastinating. You tried a few things to get started. You checked your mail and began writing lists. This was just the warm-up act. Now you begin slowly peeling away the layers of the luck that will emerge.

There is a distraction of some kind. Is it someone trying to redirect your energy? Is it something getting you off track? Something that has to be done immediately? Take the energy you caught from this and double it into your lucky energy. You need to get on with making money so you can be comfortable, right? Well, you cannot do that unless you make your energy. The distraction only serves to make things luckier because you can use the feeling of it, like riding a horse, to remember how energy feels. Ride the horse as Freud would say, use your conscious mind (you) to direct the unconscious (the horse) to your lucky day.

If you have not heard me say this before, then let me repeat it. You can have the life you want and very soon, if only you energize your life. Stop the procrastinating. Stop the interruptions by using the energy that they have drained from you. Scoop up that energy, put it in your saddlebags and ride the horse to your lucky destination! Here we go.

Happiness is not a goal but a means.

The Law of Attraction

This principle of thinking has been around for more than a century. Have you ever wondered how it works? Something about being positive attracts positive energy? Well, it is more than that. There is also the searching for and laying out goals. If you think that these well laid goals are in effect even when you are not directly thinking about them, then you have caught the gist of the Law of Attraction. It is not enough, therefore, to draw up plans and then forget about them, they must be embedded in your thinking.

I realized this when I picked up my journal from 10 years ago while cleaning out the basement. I was surprised to find that every single image I had written about and planted in my mind had become a reality. I had changed my life and according to the Law of Attraction, had actually attracted into my life everything that was in that journal. Immediately, I went to my new journal and wrote what I would expect in the next ten years.

I've wondered about how high to set my goals since I had set them pretty low ten years ago.

A Funny Thing Happened

As I walked out of the bank today, a older man held the door for an elderly lady who was obviously struggling with her walker as she approached the door. We both stopped and let her proceed out the door ahead of us. The older man held the door open for her and likewise held it for me as I came out next. I jokingly said, "You'll be there all day opening the door. Two women now, but there are more coming. Thank you. There isn't any courtesy anymore, so you really notice when it happens."

He replied, "Well, yes, maybe there just isn't as much courtesy as there should be."

I got in my car saying, "I agree. Have a great day!"

That simple look at the situation was a very good and lucky thought. It's not that there isn't any courtesy as I had said, just "not enough" as he had said. I think I learned something today. It is a good and lucky day.

I hope someone opens a door for you today, too.

Motivation

My two favourite motivational quotes are:

"It has been my philosophy of life that difficulties vanish when faced boldly."-Isaac Asimov
"I long to accomplish a great & noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble." - Helen Keller

Sometimes I will write them on a card and carry these ideas with me. I need motivation every day and the only source for it is through mirrored focus from others who are/have been motivated. It does not matter if they are alive or not. It still works.

Lucky in the Face of Random Happenstance

This morning I awoke to thinking calmly about the big picture and letting the randomness of the little picture details play out as they may. This is trust and confidence in my own powers. I'm letting my right brain take over the way things happen. The big picture is that I want to have security (through $$$), control over my time and place (peace), support of family and friends (love), use of my talents (passion for life), and something to show for it all (integrity). With these big picture ideas in place, then the randomness of what comes along the way will be like navigating water on the river of life - flow around and through the obstacles, paddle when you need to.

How Do You Create A Culture of Being Lucky?

SPEC did not work for the LottoMax. I checked my numbers today. No numbers came up. Perhaps I am using it incorrectly. I will look for holes in my plan by collecting ideas from proponents of SPEC, especially from Helene Hadsell who never lost a lottery that she entered. What did she do that I did not?
It did work for someone else, however, and using it did make me feel lucky during the time that I was in anticipation. The journey to lucky times begins now for me. I believe that my unlucky time is over and the lucky era has now begun.

Select it Project it Expect it Collect it (SPEC)

I am trying SPEC, the notion that Helene Hadsell developed.
I have selected to win the 50 million dollar LottoMax lottery that is held over and will be drawn on Friday, the 25th. There has been lots of discussion amongst my relatives and friends that I will personally win; that I would make a great winner of this because I would do good things. They are right of course. I project that and have made a list. I wait until Saturday, June 26th to review my numbers; and, have all day Sunday to plan how I will announce it. I have expected this win for a few months but knew the time had to be right. The time is right now. I look forward to collecting my lucky win, and doing the things I have planned.

Trusting a Hunch

Luck is easy to come by if you trust your hunch. Problem is, most people are not paying attention, so they don't recognize a hunch. Here's something to think about related to hunches. I have a friend who recently won $250,000. Yes, that's right 1/4 of a million. His hunch was that the odds were too great playing the regular lottery of selecting numbers or quick pick. So, knowing that he was going to spend quite a bit of money trying to win the lottery, playing each week, he instead played the scratch cards. Did it pay off? Yes, he retired with his win.

Stop Planning Your Life: Start Living the Plan

I was reading some old notes today. They were from my journal written 10 years ago, at the time when I made some very significant, positive shifts in my life. Two years after that, I became stuck and I was not sure why until I found this note. I reminded myself that I've been planning my life ever since my Mother passed away. I need to move ahead with my life and stop planning. Just go for the plan and do it. I think that Mom would have wanted that.  I cannot be continually living these plans. I must change.
It was surprising, and self revealing to note that my pattern of planning and acting was shaken up by the death of my Mother. I had been caring for my mother for about a decade and when she passed away, I lost part of my purpose in life. During that time, most of my plans involved making plans for myself along with compensating for how this would fit into my care-taking role of Mom. Without that anchor and a motivational anchor at that, I was stuck in planning. I no longer had a barrier. I had free rein. It was too much. I had nothing to ground me. My home began to reflect it as well; as I horded memorabilia.
Now, as of reading this old entry, I realize that I have to create a ground or anchor for my plans and then just made the decision to stop planning along the way and just follow through with the plans.
I had not thought about a need for anchoring my plans or setting down an anchor to make plans "real" until I realized that plans are not just for the open sea (at least with my personality) of life but need to be anchored so we can change to plan B, if needed. As well, the anchor provides stability in case a plan does not work out as expected -- at least we're still anchored and therefore secure.
So, plan, pull up what anchors you to the old life, and execute your plan (stop planning) today. You'll feel better for it all, whether plans work out perfectly or not, you will know ten years from now that you tried.
Good luck to you!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I am right now thinking about the luck of the Irish as I ride the bus to Shannon, Ireland. I, personally, have never known a lucky Irishman/woman because those that I know have moved from their homeland at some point or another to seek fortune or escape tragedy. My experience has been that all Irish have struggled to overcome many trials in their lives. Does that make them unlucky? Not really. Lucky, is really a course set in motion from the energy of another. The Irish that I know made new lives for themselves, redid their opportunities (a do-over), focused on getting better educations, and doing what matters when it comes to family. There, that is luck for you, the desire to make a life. To make life matter for their loved ones and for posterity. They've essentially generated their own luck. You cannot generate luck by just sitting there on the couch. Get up and do something. You've been given a gift called life, so you better open it up and see what it is all about.

Generate some of your own luck. Things can get better.

I Ching Minding Your Meaning

Try the IChing gadget that I have installed on the right. When you find the results, ask yourself, "What does this mean?"  This about when and where you will use the knowledge you have gained. Be sure that your attention is focused, that the underlying attention then become lucky for you. The time you spend dwelling on who did what to you will not make this lucky. If, however, you decide to use the focus to help yourself go over the top, you will feel healthier, your mind will be clearer, and you will find that good things come to you. Mind your meaning with I Ching or any other interpretations of the day. Stay focused on a positive result.

Lucky Thoughts? No, Lucky Focus!

So, we pulled into the parking lot last night and I was thinking, "I always get a spot close to the door" and my friend was thinking, "Oh, no. We'll never get a spot." Now, when it is -20 degrees this is really important stuff. So, seconds passed and I pulled into a spot right next to the door.

I've always been lucky at getting a parking spot, all my life. I was told that I was always lucky and I began to believe it many years ago. Why? I wanted to know. I don't think, I'm going to be lucky at finding a parking spot. Instead, I think a spot will open for me as usually, I just have to focus.

I watched my unlucky friends find parking spots and I observed what I did when searching for parking spots. It is really no surprise - I scan in anticipation of the perfect spot. I'm not looking at how full the lot is, I'm looking at who is going to kindly pull out in time for me to pull in. I look for the next move, and I move with the movement of traffic. My unlucky parking friends, they look at the parking lot fullness and hesitate to keep driving. "Let's wait until someone pulls out," says one person; and, "Oh no, someone else is going to get that." I just move on, knowing that the luck will come if I focus on it.

I wonder if this is true of most other things. Do we hesitate and miss our luck? Do we  take so much time thinking about our plight that we forget to keep our focus on the prize? It may be so. Now, if I could only transfer my parking luck into all other areas of my life.

Let's try this for the lottery. For the next 24 hours, think, well, it wasn't that number but it will be this one. Keep your focus on the prize and keep reading this blog. Look up the patterns on the right hand side links and figure out the past numbers. Go by feel, knowing that your focus on the next winning number is better than calculating and hesitating. Good lucky, my friends!

Wish Yourself Luck and It Will Happen

A great tip . . . a recent lottery winner, many times over, stated that it was far more than "luck" that he was in the situation of winning the lottery so many times. He described his multiple wins like this . . . "Anyone could do it," he declared. "All you have to do it play and instead of wishing for luck, wish yourself luck!" It is not so hard to have luck if you believe that you will win.

I thought about this and said to myself - what rubbish - it was just luck in the end. What makes more sense to me is that it was a law of life that had played out well simply because this consistent lottery player had first of all played both odd and even numbers every time, he never missed a draw, and he watched the numbers that usually paid off and played them. Just luck? Well, yes. Keeping a positive attitude by wishing yourself luck means that you will keep playing.

Take a look through the winners list in your own lottery system flyers. You will notice that most of these "just lucky" players are consistent players. They don't give up. It's has been a "secret" of the secret and a law of probability that those more likely to win the game are those that don't give up. I wish you luck, as always.

Secretly Lucky

My friend's father recently passed away after many months of frail living. Prior to this, I've been through the same experience with my own parents. It has been very interesting seeing how this part of one's life goes. It is important information for when the time comes for yourself.

Anyway, back to the story of my friend's father -- he happened to receive The Secret just 12 months ago. He read The Secret over and over again. It provided him with a spiritual lift that I think he needed during that time - too frail to attend his church and too frail and isolated to watch TV, enjoy time with friends.

I also became interested in thinking about The Secret, but I found Wallace Wattles book equally fascinating (more about that in my next blog post). I shared many moments with my friend's father talking about spirituality and the meaning of life through discussing the magic of luck through gratitude. There is a time to consider luck and to be grateful for the luck we have right now. I know that my friend's dad rests in peace because he focused on gratitude. Be lucky, my friends and experience the magic of it through your attitude, gratitude, and acceptance that it will come to you.

Like my friend's father, you don't have to broadcast it, you can find peace within through adopting an attitude of being secretly lucky.

Extra-ordinary luck through the practice of gratitude

Every once in a while it is good practice to just stop and be grateful. Something extra-ordinary can happen as a result of this habit. Just today, I was grateful to come home and find my lawn treated by a most courteous young man. He really made a great effort to do his job well. I was so grateful that I thought I would call his office and just say, "thank you, for the great job!" I was rewarded with a full year of free lawn treatments. I'm grateful thrice: (1) once for the young man, (2) my great looking lawn, and (3) a grateful manager.
Good luck to you today, too!

Write in Your Luck Diary

Increase your luck by focusing on the things that are lucky for you. If you think that turning lemons into lemonade is just a nice saying, then consider that researchers have found that lucky people actually create through the law of attraction, through focusing on the luck they now have as something that can be construed as good fortune. These lucky people actually attract more lucky events through focusing on all their current events and interpreting them as lucky.

Have you have wondered how you can focus on your own current events in this way, thus changing your misfortunes into fortunes? Well, a great way to start is by keeping a luck diary. Carry it with you. It can be in a handheld electronic device such as a Palm or in a small diary in your purse. Write daily about events that have occurred. Better yet, begin by writing at every minute that you notice luck. Write down at least two diary entries each day and reflect on how these events are lucky, or if they appear unlucky, how you can interpret these unlucky events as eventually turning out to be lucky.

You'll be surprised. Soon, all your luck will change. It won't take more than 21 days for the lucky habit to be formed. You will be lucky by using your own luck diary.

A Good Luck Day

Today was unusual. It was one of those days when you say, "Why?". I went to the grocery store and an old man on crutches could barely walk down the aisle, asked the young clerk where to find bread and the clerk didn't know. I helped out and both knew where to find the bread. Then, a lady could not get through the lineup and I let her in. She was so overwhelmed with my generosity that she insisted on paying for my groceries. I said, "thank you but no" and said, "pass it on". I then let a young boy through in congested traffic and he avoided an accident with a truck. The boy gave me the peace sign after seeing what had happened. The whole day . . . just got better and better as I began looking for ways to make the world lucky.
I hope you have a lucky day like this one.

Five Ways to Start Having Good Luck

Today. Begin having good luck by:
1. Stopping feeling sorry for yourself. Instead, focus on finding luck.
2. Watch other lucky people and do what they do.
3. Take time to be polite to others, even for 10 seconds a day. Open a door. Smile at a stranger. This will remind you that luck resides in unexpected places. This will help you to notice luck instead of passing it by. Walk in the clover and notice the four-leafed variety.
4. Talk about lucky chances and recall moments of luck in your life. Share these with your friends. If you see yourself as lucky already, more luck will be found.
5. Create chance opportunities yourself; and don't take chances with others. You can't walk across a busy highway thinking you won't get run over. Be lucky by taking your own road. As in Robert Frost's poem - ". . . the one less traveled." That's where you will find your own good luck.

Have a lucky day, everyone!

Good Luck from Around the World

I have always been intrigued by the idea of good fortune. Individuals from around the world are associated with groups that believe in some sort of agency toward good luck.
