I had my follow-up appointment today. This, I thought, was supposed to be the day I found out if chemo was necessary. Well, no. I will not find out until August 17th. That's over a month from now. It is not ruled out.
Funny thing . . . not funny, just weird . . . the doctor was shocked by all the bruising I had. I mean, you could really tell that she was distressed. I told her that I was taking photos of this each day and that the bruising only occurred in the past 24 hours. Still, you could see that she was really alarmed.
She asked, "Do you bruise easily?" I know it is not that. I think it is the aspirin and fish oil that I took since my blood pressure continues to be very high. Maybe I'll just lay off those for a couple of days. No sense thinning my blood if I'm going to have a huge black bruise.
So, today I got my wish which was to not start chemo, if I had to at all, until the middle of August. My wish is to be healthy, wealthy, and wise. Must buy a lotto ticket with this luck.
