I am right now thinking about the luck of the Irish as I ride the bus to Shannon, Ireland. I, personally, have never known a lucky Irishman/woman because those that I know have moved from their homeland at some point or another to seek fortune or escape tragedy. My experience has been that all Irish have struggled to overcome many trials in their lives. Does that make them unlucky? Not really. Lucky, is really a course set in motion from the energy of another. The Irish that I know made new lives for themselves, redid their opportunities (a do-over), focused on getting better educations, and doing what matters when it comes to family. There, that is luck for you, the desire to make a life. To make life matter for their loved ones and for posterity. They've essentially generated their own luck. You cannot generate luck by just sitting there on the couch. Get up and do something. You've been given a gift called life, so you better open it up and see what it is all about.
